Red color, bitter taste. Fortress – 25%. It is produced on the basis of aromatic herbs, fruits, roots, bark and citrus fruits. It has a pronounced bitter taste. The aroma is characterized by earthy and woody notes of blackberries, vines, moss… The taste is sharp, notes are guessed: roots, quinine, honey, citrus peel… “Campari” is a tincture based on aromatic herbs and citrus fruits – from 40 to 68 ingredients (among others – myrtle orange, calamus, yellow gentian, cascarolla, finger stump). The tincture is diluted with sugar syrup and water. According to various estimates, the recipe includes from 40 to 68 ingredients.

The fortress of pure Campari is from 20.5 to 28.5%.

It is used as a base for Americano, Negroni, Garibaldi (Campari with orange juice) and Camparigna cocktails.

History of creation. In 1860, Gaspare Campari, who had been working for many years in his “Cafe Campari” in Novara, served visitors a new spicy-bitter red drink. It was unexpected, but the guests liked the drink. In the same year, Gaspare Campari founded the Gruppo Campari company, starting the production and sale of his drink. In 1904, he moved production to Milan to a factory in Sesto San Giovanni.

The first export of Campari – to Nice and the French Riviera – was organized by the son of the founder, Davide. With the start of sales of “Campari” in Nice, the romantic love story of Davide Campari for the singer Lina Cavalieri is connected.

Today Campari is sold in 190 countries.

Campari has always masterfully used advertising tools. Her advertising posters, created by famous European artists, entered the history of world advertising. The image of the product – passion and sexuality – is created by the most beautiful women in the world – Olga Kurylenko (“girl” of James Bond), Eva Mendes, Jessica Alba, Salma Hayek, Penelope Cruz. They were accompanied by a real macho – Benicio del Toro.

“Campari” is included in the rating of “20 best liqueurs in the world.”
