Главная

Aperitif. The name itself suggests this, because “Aperol” is the “aperitif”. Fortress “Aperol” – 11%. The color is orange-red, the taste is bitter and very … Italian. It includes about 30 components: rhubarb, gentian, cinchona fruits and herbs of northern Italy. The aroma of oranges is pronounced in the bouquet. Perhaps of Sicilian origin, but most likely from neighboring Ivrea (Piedmont), from the very place where every year in the last days of February, early March, giant orange wars take place for many years, but in fact – the carnival before the Maslenitsa holiday, Battaglia delle arance.

There are many prestigious awards in the piggy bank of Aperol producers. At the World Spirits Competition exhibition in San Francisco already in the 21st century, it was called “the best aperitif”, which was confirmed by a gold medal.

“Aperol” is an excellent base for cocktails, including the popular in Europe “spritz” cocktail, which came from Venice (white wine, “Aperol”, mineral water, a lot of ice, and as a “cherry on the cake” – a slice of orange or grapefruit).

Year of production – 1919. Place of origin – the city of Padua. Produced by the family company Barbieri. The rise in popularity came in the post-war 40-50s.

In 2004, “Aperol” entered the portfolio of the famous Gruppo Campari (founded in 1860, founder – Caspar Campari), its headquarters is located in Milan. The company is a leader in the alcohol market in Italy and Brazil, and unites, in addition to the producers of Aperol, the owners of such world-famous brands as Cinzano, SKYY vodka, Lemonsoda, Wild Turkey, Frangelico, Irish Mist, Carolans and Jean-Marc XO Vodka.

“Aperol” is the No. 1 bitter on the Apennine Peninsula. The annual sales volume is about 20 million liters. Sponsoring prestigious sports competitions.
